New Patients
at Barrhaven Family Chiropractic
If you’re coming in to Barrhaven Family Chiropractic for the first time, we’d like you to know exactly what to expect. We want you to feel relaxed and comfortable. Get ready for a great experience!
Your First Visit
To aid in structural analysis, please come in wearing fitted, comfortable clothing (i.e. no dresses or blouses.) This first visit takes between 45 and 60 minutes. You’ll be initially greeted by one of our friendly office staff members, who will then introduce you to our non-invasive evaluation process:
- Consultation & Hands-on examination
- Computerized spinal scan
- Structural X-rays
- Structural analysis of the spine and nervous system
Your Second Visit
On your second visit, your doctor will review the report of findings with you and answer any questions that you may have. He’ll then give you his recommendations as far as future treatment frequency and will create a customized care plan for you.
If you’re accepted as a patient, you’ll receive your first gentle chiropractic adjustment! We are very thorough in our explanations, so please allow 60-90 minutes for this second visit.
Continued Care
Many people wonder if they will have to continue receiving care for the rest of their lives. That choice is always yours. Most of our patients choose a wellness plan to keep them functioning at their best and to help prevent relapse. You may even decide you want to bring your spouse, kids, and other family members in to get checked. This is why we’re such a family-oriented practice! We offer our patients an opportunity to attend advanced monthly workshops on various health topics, which are held in the office.
